Call recording

Call recording that knows the law

Recording calls is useful right up until it's illegal. Consent rules differ by country and by US state. So wlur ships recording with jurisdiction-aware defaults. It plays announcement messages where required. Per-number settings mean you can't accidentally misconfigure it.

Recordings live on the call log and the CRM record, with retention periods you set.

What you get

  • One-tap or always-on recording per number
  • Consent announcements matched to the number's jurisdiction
  • Recordings attached to CRM contact and deal records
  • Retention rules: keep 30 days, a year, or forever
  • Download and delete anytime

What it looks like

A mortgage broker records client calls for compliance. Callers hear a short announcement. Recordings file themselves against the client in Salesforce. Everything older than the required retention window deletes itself, on schedule.

Frequently asked questions

Is call recording legal?

It depends where both parties are. The UK allows business recording with notification, for legitimate purposes. Several US states require all-party consent. wlur defaults each number to its jurisdiction's safe setting. Our glossary covers call recording laws in detail.

Can I record only some calls?

Yes. Set recording to always-on per number. Or start it with one tap during a call, where that's lawful. Your team can see which mode each number uses.

Where are recordings stored?

Encrypted at rest, in your account's region (EU or US), for the retention period you choose. Deleting a recording removes it from wlur and the linked CRM attachment.
